Looking For Alaska by John Green

This is Probably my all time favorite book, its
Looking for Alaska by John Green . The protagonist, Miles, leaves to go to start his "Great Perhaps" in his new boarding school. It took a while for this book to hook me in but once I was I could not put it down. Looking for Alaska is split into two parts, Before and After. I was completely surprised with every twist in the book and could reread it a hundred times. With a humorous yet mysterious tone to this book, any one could read it and enjoy every dingle page.

Synopsis? Yup:
Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last word -- and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps." Much awaits miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed - up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth the catapult him into the Great Perhaps.

Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead

Hey guys! I just done reading another really amazing fantasy faction book called Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead. This is the third book in the Vampire Academy Series(look at my last post from more the the series info). This was one on my top ten favorite because the action scene's were written flawlessly. Not only that but Mead really put in a lot of depth and into this book. The ending is a HUGE cliffhanger and leaves begging for more. This Type of novel is directed to males and females from fourteen and up. I say this because their are some pretty awesome action scene that i think guys would thoroughly enjoy and some topics/scene that are defiantly young adult.

Here's the Synopsis:

It's springtime at St. Vladimir's Academy, and Rose Hathaway is this close to graduation. Since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling quite right. She's having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and worst of all...might be seeing ghosts.

As Rose questions her sanity, new complications arise. Lissa has begun experimenting with her magic once more, their enemy Victor Dashkov might be set free, and Rose's forbidden relationship with Dimitri is starting to heat up again. But when a deadly threat no one saw coming changes their entire world, Rose must put her own life on the line--and choose between the two people she loves most.

Frostbite by Rachel Mead

So I just finished Fantasy fiction book called Frostbite By Rachel Mead and a New York Times & USA Today's bestseller. This book happened too be the second novel in the Vampire Academy series. Obviously you can tell from the series tittle that this book is about vampires (Moroi). Its about a whole other world where dhampairs(half human half vampires) live and train to guard Moroi vampires from the malignant Strogoi. Strogoi are pretty much the equivalent to The Twilight Saga's newborns vampires(physical strength, violent nature, thirst and physical appearance.) This book had an amazing ending and heart breaking tone.

Here's the synopsis:
Rose Hathaway's got serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting stuck in her best friend Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian. (So not cool).

Then a massive Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir's on high alert, and the Academy crawls with Guardians--including the legendary Janine Hathaway...Rose's formidable, long-absent mother. The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks. This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose--and her heart--are in more danger than she ever could have imagined...

Welcome!

So I have recently decided, that not many places truly give good book suggestions and most of it is all paid advertisement, thus creating my own blog entirely dedicated to good books i've recently read and enjoyed. I will probably put a new book up at least every month. I will separate books into categories once I've figured out how to work this blog page but until then, I'm open to suggestions and feedback.

Thanks!
Lindsay
